mytake on myspace

Okay, here's mytake on myspace...I believe that myspace set out with good intentions--that intention being a place where friends can keep in contact with each without all of the headaches of uhhh, dialing a phone or sending an email. I must admit, I did the myspace thing for about 5 minutes x2. What myspace has become is a haven for the socially retarded and the attention starved. Now I know this does not apply to everyone on myspace. There is a percentage of people that use myspace just as it was intended for--(as stated above, a place where friends can keep in contact). For a large percentage of myspace users, from what I saw, it was a majority of their social interaction minus the occasional weekend keg party at the dorm, barracks, or rental house of a bunch of 25-35 year old adolescents. When you are a guy or a girl with 40 some odd myspace buddies and 99.9 percent of them are the opposite sex, you have to ask yourself why? Attention junkies listen up---100 myspace buddies will not make up for 1 real world/true blue/through thick & thin good friend. Having an assembly line of future relationships from pictures and profiles will not help you in your quest for real life relationship satisfaction. Just mytake on myspace...

Like I said, "why do men who have 30+ female 'friends' on myspace send me messages? If I wanted to compete for the attention of one man against 30 women, I'd go on the bachelor!"
I thought about removing everyone from the myspace list that I don't chat with on a frequent enough basis to consider a friend, but I didn't feel like starting WWIII in the chat room. The eternal cries of "who removed me and why did they remove me!" (cough Shg cough) when they see that their friend list is down 1 person....
Oh I do like you!
Oh, one other thing- I refer to myspace as an online trailer park.
