Sorry all.

No, the blog is not dead. I was locked out of blogger.com for some reason. Alisa can verify this since she is usually the first one that hears me scream when I screw something up that is computer related. One thing though, I do plan on reactivating my .mac account and will be moving my blog there this weekend. It should be cool so look for the link on my AOL profile sometime in the very near future.

A few words of wisdom...

When we are unable to find tranquility within ourselves, it is useless to seek it elsewhere.

anxiously awaiting the fall...

Let me start this post off by stating that I am a fanatical sports fan. With that being said, this is my least favorite time of the year. You know, that span of time that seems to linger between March Madness and the College Kickoff Classic? I'm sorry my compadres south of the border and to my fellow sports fans in from the old country---The World Cup just didn't cut it this summer. The Tour de France is without Lance Armstrong this year (yawn), and baseball just isn't getting the job done (steroid scandals included). I have definitely hit that point where I start to get those nervous shakes from the lack of College Football (don't for a second think that I am referring to European "football"). Let me tell you something, Sage isn't doing so well either...

mytake on myspace

Okay, here's mytake on myspace...I believe that myspace set out with good intentions--that intention being a place where friends can keep in contact with each without all of the headaches of uhhh, dialing a phone or sending an email. I must admit, I did the myspace thing for about 5 minutes x2. What myspace has become is a haven for the socially retarded and the attention starved. Now I know this does not apply to everyone on myspace. There is a percentage of people that use myspace just as it was intended for--(as stated above, a place where friends can keep in contact). For a large percentage of myspace users, from what I saw, it was a majority of their social interaction minus the occasional weekend keg party at the dorm, barracks, or rental house of a bunch of 25-35 year old adolescents. When you are a guy or a girl with 40 some odd myspace buddies and 99.9 percent of them are the opposite sex, you have to ask yourself why? Attention junkies listen up---100 myspace buddies will not make up for 1 real world/true blue/through thick & thin good friend. Having an assembly line of future relationships from pictures and profiles will not help you in your quest for real life relationship satisfaction. Just mytake on myspace...

Week recap

Okay, I have been informed by friends that I am slacking in regard to the frequency of my post(zero post) on the blog. So here it goes--This week was a good week. I took some time off from work and went furniture shopping. I hate shopping for anything if it involves leaving the house to deal with the masses. I pay my bills online, use netflix, Amazon.com, and others to avoid dealing with cashiers, salesmen/saleswomen, traffic, parking lots, etc... With that being said, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I ended up purchasing a new bedroom suite w/ pillow top mattress, breakfast table, TV stand, a chair for my writing desk, book shelves, nice wooden filing cabinets, and a few other things that were needed. Now that I am starting to get the house situated the main job will be to keep Sage from destroying everything. Because of my profession I tend to give everyone the benefit of the doubt ONCE. Sage has a long history of being less than accomodating to places that we have lived. I am sure that future post will be dedicated to rants and raves about a few of his misadventures.

First things first...

Okay, this is my first real blog so be patient. It's a work in progress. The first thing that I need to clarify is Sage. I will refer to Sage from time to time when blogging and want to make clear that Sage is my dog. Sage is not a co-worker, roommate, ex-girlfriend, etc... I'll post a picture of him as soon as I get a little more savvy with blogger.com.
